Painting time. A new cycle of conferences for a theoretical approach of creation.
The Centre international d'art et du paysage de lIle de Vassiviere starts a new cycle of conferences for a theoretical approach of creation. The reading of artworks by major figures in art history will be conducted by specialists in semiotics and aesthetics. Anne Beyaert-Geslin, lecturer in semiotics at the university of Limoges, department of letters and humanities, hosts a three conferences cycle on painting and time. Anne Beyaert-Geslin thinks that temporality is at the very core of the meaning of any painting. Following the steps of Paul Klee, Paul Cezanne, Max Beckmann, Eugene Leroy, Francis Picabia, Giorgio De Chirico, Glenn Brown and Lucian Freud, Anne Beyaert-Geslin is applying herself to show how 'painting time' allow us to renew the way we experiment the world.
