Irony and Survival on the Utopian Island

A traveling exhibition of works by 18 young contemporary artists living and working in Cuba today.
The exhibition of paintings, sculptures, and installations, challenge political and social issues which effect Cuban culture today.

Artists included in the exhibition are: Pedro Alvarez, Belkis Ayon, Abel Barroso, Jacqueline Brito, Yamilys Brito, Los Carpinteros, Carlos Estevez, Rene Francisco, Carlos Garaicoa,Luis Gomez, KCHO, Sandra Ramos, Fernando Rodriguez, Esterio Segura, Jose A. Toirac,Tonel, Osvaldo Yero.

The exhibition was organized by Arizona State University Art Museum and traveled by the Independent Curator's International. A catalogue and video accompany the exhibit.
