Rory Macbeth & Darren Phizacklea have collaborated for a number of years, most notably as the Brians Sewell as featured in Matthew Collings’ book and show ‘Art Crazy Nation’, and as part of the group Twenteenth Century. This is their first show of solo works and of new collaborations.

Rory Macbeth & Darren Phizacklea have collaborated for a number of years,
most notably as the Brians Sewell as featured in Matthew Collings’ book and
show ‘Art Crazy Nation’, and as part of the group Twenteenth Century. This
is their first show of solo works and of new collaborations.
Linked by a common interest in failure, these works reject the aesthetics of
slacker art, in exchange for the dogged application of the inappropriate and
misguided to create a new space for failure to work in.
The new show takes as its lead ‘4 Songs’, a chanced-upon CD by an unknown
amateur musician, to whose relentless and dogged determination this show is
dedicated.
