In order to celebrate her first year in Shanghai, Magda Danysz invites Maleonn, Zhang Dali and Yang Yongliang in Paris. Emblematic artists of the chinese new rising generation, today they show the subjects which concern artists in China.

Maleonn, Zhang Dali and Yang Yongliang present artworks totally new in France, each one impregnated by questions of their homeland. Yang Yongliang chose to present a video installation. White on White by Maleonn and Second History by Zhang Dali are interested in China memory and particularly in Chinese people’s one at the time of major upheaval that are transforming China.

In White on White's photographs, Maleonn questions the place of the man in the history and the subject of the individual memory in front of the collective memory. Maleonn says about these artworks, "they are not just photographs but also the recording of past emotions". He rewrites the story in his way, the memory becomes clouded, memories lessen and then we discover a renewed history.

Zhang Dali presents the unpublished serie Second History. The artist gathered dozens of images edited by propaganda services since the creation of People's Republic of China and he recover the originals that he proposes us to compare with additions of painting. Nonetheless there is no political controversy with Second History. Zhang Dali claims "I am an artist. If I was an historian, I’d obviously adopt a different point of view. As an artist, of course I accept also historical responsibility showing these pictures. (...) To me, the most important is visual." Then he worked again on these historical prints as a pictorial reflection about the History of his country.
