Palacio de Cristal
David Hammons (Springfield, Illinois, 1943) attempts to create
interaction between his works and the sites where they are exhibited,
always including historical and cultural elements.
He has thus developed a specific project for the Palacio de Cristal, a
space he transforms by "modifying" the architecture of the building.
The result is a new reading of both the place and its environment.
Colours, smells and sounds acquire such importance in his work that
they sometimes override the piece itself.
