Cesar Biojo

The Artevistas Gallery presents "Exercises Disappearance", new works of emerging artist Cesar Biojo in which the artist continues the exploration of human nature of his earlier works The painter continues to investigate the body, the condition and the nature of human beings with his brushes for tools. Biojo defines his work as the controlled balance between creation and destruction of a character and its movements. His aim is to capture the passage of time, the fleeting and the ephemeral nature of the individual in its environment. Based on the unexpected and unpredictable nature of the accident, Biojo applies the color on the canvas by dragging the oil in a destructive impulse. The image appears to be about to disappear, reflecting his views about the inevitable extinction of being. If, in his earlier portraits, Biojo deliberately suppressed any sign of emotion, in "Exercises disappearance", he surprises us with models full of emotion. He illustrates little stories that express bodily feelings and attitudes: the objective of Biojo is to illustrate the various conflicts arising from the act of expression, and the result of exercising the disappearance. CESAR BIOJO. Numerous awards have been granted in recent years in Europe and the United States. Thus, the career of the young artist was able to consolidate and become very promising. It comes from the School of Fine Arts at Florida State University. Since 2006, Biojo moved to Barcelona, where he continued his studies at the University. After presenting his work at galleries in New York, Florida and Holland, among others, his last exhibition took place in Barcelona in the gallery Artevistas, in 2011, and entitled "Desapariciones" (disappearances). Biojo lives and works in Barcelona and his works are part of the permanent collection of the Artevistas Gallery since 2009. Opening may june 14th, 8 pm
