The anarchists I

Tirana Ekspres, Tirana

Rossella Biscotti, Jakup Ferri, Ciprian Muresan, Bert Theis. The exhibition is all about presenting some video-art clips that hide the landscape of anarchy in the voice of the author, in the self-irony that fulfills this voice, in the anti-rhetoric references and in the courage of wise individuals.

Gallery On The Move presents “The Anarchists I”, an exhibition with the participation of the artists Rossella Biscotti, Jakup Ferri, Ciprian Muresan and Bert Theis, in cooperation with Tirana Eskpres. The exhibition curated by Fani Zguro is so named after the video with the same title of Santiago Sierra, which is part of the second episode (The Anarchists II) who's be realized also in Tirana Ekspres. “The Anarchists I” is all about presenting some video-art clips that hide the landscape of anarchy in the voice of the author, in the self-irony that fulfills this voice, in the anti-rhetoric references and in the courage of wise individuals. The exhibition will be organized in the spaces of Tirana Ekspres and it will stay open for the public until the 30 January, to leave the turn to the second episode (The Anarchists II), that will be inaugurated on the 31 January 2013.

Rossella Biscotti was born in 1978 in Molfetta. Lives and works in Rotterdam. She has exhibited at CAC Vilnius, MAXXI National Museum for 21st Century Art Rome, Witte de With Rotterdam, Museu Serralves Porto, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Castello di Rivoli Museo d'Arte Contemporanea Turin, Documenta (13) Kassel, 2nd Athens Biennial, Australian Experimental Art Foundation Adelaide, Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb and Manifesta 9 Genk.

Jakup Ferri was born in 1981 in Prishtina. Lives and works in Amsterdam and Prishtina. He has exhibited at 28th Graphic Biennale Ljubljana, Quadrennial for Contemporary Art Copenhagen, Prague Biennale 3, Zacheta National Gallery Warsaw, National Museum of Contemporary Art Bucharest, 9th İstanbul Biennial, KW Institute for Contemporary Art Berlin, Portikus Frankfurt, Cetinje Biennale V, Kunsthalle Fridericianum and De Appel Amsterdam.

Ciprian Muresan was born in 1977 in Dej. Lives and works in Cluj. He has exhibited at New Museum New York, 1’st Athens Biennale, Museum of Modern Art Warsaw, Tate Modern London, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Centre d'art Contemporaine Geneva, Kunsthalle Budapest, De Appel Amsterdam, MUSEION Bolzano, 17th Biennale of Sydney, Centre Pompidou Paris, Centro Cultural Montehermoso, Kadist Art Foundation Paris and 53rd Venice Biennale.

Bert Theis was born in 1952 in Luxembourg. Lives and works in Luxembourg and Milan. He has exhibited at Manifesta 2 Luxembourg, 4th Gwangju Biennale, Musée d´Art Moderne et Contemporain Geneva, Skulptur Projekte Münster 1997, 46th International Art Exhibition Venice Biennale, Casino Luxembourg, 2nd Tirana Biennale, Busan Biennial 2006, 10th Istanbul Biennial, MUDAM Luxembourg and National Museum of Contemporary Art Bucharest.
