In partnership with the Dream City Festival.

Alia Sellami is a cross-disciplinary artist who likes to use different singing styles and techniques, and enjoys making different forms of artistic expression interact in her work. For several years, she has developed audio and vocal pieces that are performed in public spaces.

This summer, she took up residence at Carniel, a call centre based in Marseille that is committed to local employment, disabled people, equality, people of different ages and origins and respect for the environment. She produced a new vocal performance that was inspired by the modes of exchange and means of communication that are used in the company on a daily basis.

In addition to performing at The Amazing History of Street Art in May 2013, Sellami, the Carniel team and MP2013 are pleased to invite you to discover this new creation at the Dream City Festival in Tunis from 26 to 30 September 2012.

As part of Marseille-Provence 2013's
Euro-Mediterranean Ateliers

About the Euro-Mediterranean Ateliers
As an ambitious platform supporting contemporary creation throughout the Marseille-Provence region, the Euro-Mediterranean Ateliers are one of Marseille-Provence 2013's founding projects. Companies, public sector organisations and associations will host artist residencies in all disciplines. In this way, ties will be created between artists and organisations not usually involved in contemporary creation. Between now and late 2013, around sixty projects will have been completed. The resulting artwork will be presented to the public in 2013 as part of the European Capital of Culture programme (featuring in exhibitions, festivals and special events).

About Carniel
Carniel is a call centre that was set up in 1989 in Marseille. It develops tailor-made marketing and telemarketing solutions centred around three key activities: managing customers and contacts for companies (Carniel, activateur de relation client); designing and carrying out surveys (Institut Carniel, activateur de réflexion) and developing specific expertise in marketing techniques for regional economic development (Carniel Territoires, activateur de relations).
As befitting its "Empl'itude" label and the determination of the company's president Gabriel Longo and staff members, Carniel has developed an approached based on the principles of corporate social responsibility over the past several years. Carniel is also one of the founding members of IDEO, an endowment fund supporting employment and integration.

About Dream City
The Dream City Festival, launched in 2007, is a space for expression and freedom in public space – the Tunis medina. Dream City invites artists from all disciplines to rethink their society, urban landscapes and collective memory. By creating artistic itineraries in urban space, the festival encourages artists to experiment with sociability and participate in citizenship initiatives by creating artwork alongside local people and regions.
The third Dream City Festival, which deals with the theme "The Artist Facing Freedom," will run from 26 to 30 September in Tunis, and from 5 to 7 October in Sfax.
