comunicato stampa

The DRAWING SHOW is an annual art project initiated by Yujin Lee in 2012. The project aims to crystallize an international group exhibition grounded on an artistic and theoretical investigation of ‘contemporary drawing' and its place in the art world today. This year’s DRAWING SHOW II with a sub-title, CONNECTING DOTS, is an in-depth examination of drawing as a conceptual way of communicating a line of thought. Exploring the formal and conceptual possibilities of and through drawing, the project is executed with a systematic collaborative relay process between visual artists, writers, text translators, musicians, dancers and cinematographers from around the world.

The exhibition will take place at a commercial gallery in Berlin with an opening ceremony and workshops. The participating artists are: Rebecca Agnes (visual artist from Italy), Liza Alpizar Aguliar (dancer from Costa Rica), Eric Bernstein (visual artist from the US), Nathan Catlin (visual artist from the US), Christine Cheung (visual artist from Canada), Emanuele Crotti (visual artist from Italy), Ariel Gout (visual artist from France), Rober Hope-Johnstone (visual artist from Great Britiain), Simon Jardin (writer from France), Danbee Bambi Jo (dancer from Korea), Mareike Lee (visual artist from Canada), So-Rim Lee (writer from Korea), Nicolas Manenti (visual artist from France), Christian Moeller (cinematographer from Germany), Nevo Ron (musician from Israel), Jamie Ross (musician from Scotland), Agata Sasiuk (visual artist from Poland).
