Prizma Screening #3 will focus on the artist's creation process and showcase her short films with site specific installations.
Launched in September 2014, Istanbul’s new cinematic project space PRIZMASPACE will host filmmaker, winner of Jelena Rajković award given by the Croatian Film Days to the Best Young Director of Croatia, Daina O. Pusić for its third director exhibition PRIZMA SCREENING #3. Pusić’s award winning short films, videos and installations can be seen at PRIZMASPACE between 7-21 May.
With her peculiar storytelling and cinematic language driven from her interest in theatre, performance and literature, PRIZMA SCREENING #3 will focus on Daina O. Pusić’s creation process and showcase her short films with site specific installations gathering the artist’s influences, objects, costumes, audio and video recordings collected from different periods of her production processes.
Daina O. Pusić
Daina O. Pusić is a Croatian filmmaker. Having completed her undergraduate studies at Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Arts, she has acquired her Masters Degree in filmmaking at the London Film School. In 2013, she has won the Jelena Rajković award for best Croatian filmmaker under the age of thirty. She is currently developing her next short film with Creative England, Baby Cow and Big Talk. Having earned first place at the BAFTA and Stellar Network TV comedy and drama pitch-up event, she also works in the development of a comedy television series pilot. She lives and works in London.
Co-founded by Lara Kamhi and Eli Kasavi as an alternative approach to the commercial gallery structure and with the initial intention to share a studio with their artist and director friends, PRIZMASPACE has met with viewers on September 18 with its first exhibition "MOVING IMAGES #1" as an alternative cinematic project space. Its annual program includes film screenings, director exhibitions, a residency programme and group shows gathering local and international artists.
