Drop in to our family workshop, where there will be a whole host of activities for all ages throughout the gallery and outside on the terrace.
Join artist Zoë Burt from 11:3am–3:30pm out on the terrace, where we will be creating a unique cyanotype print strip. Capture light and make beautiful photographs without a camera using a process invented by an astronomer who made scientific studies of celestial objects.
In the Project Space, join us as we experiment and explore shadows to create work inspired by Sun Prints and artist Man Ray.
In the main gallery space, we will be experimenting with magnets. In response to Lyndall Phelps' work in the exhibition, create a leaf to add to our tree sculpture and make it flutter using magnets.
Ahead of the evening event led by exhibiting artist Alistair McClymont, join us in the Project Space from 4pm as we explore how sound vibrates. Gallery staff will be on hand to test out the Function Generator as we find out the different patterns sound can make.
Zoë studied textiles at Central St. Martins, graduating in 1993 and has created textile and fashion designs for clients in London, Paris, New York and Tokyo. She tutors for The London College of Fashion at the University of the Arts and leads art projects for galleries, museums and schools, including The South London Botanical Institute, Dulwich Picture Gallery, Wandsworth Museum and Bankside Open Spaces Trust for Tate Modern.
