Euroart is the first Independent Artist Fair that has been held in Europe, in rememberance of the Parisian salons in which
the artists that had difficulties in exhibiting and selling their work, grouped together to exhibit to the public. We cannot forget
that great artists who occupy the most outstanding place in Art History today emerged from those salons.

Barcelona, 6-9 October 2000
Euroart'2000 will take place on the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th of October, 2000 in the Sala Marqués de Comillas of the Drassanes in Barcelona, a building of great architectual interest
pertaining to a Civil Gothic style, which is the oldest of its type in Europe. At present UNESCO
is studying the possibility of having it form part of the Artistic Patrimony of Humanity. It is
situated in one the busiest parts of the city: at the end of the famous "La Rambla" near the Christopher Columbus
Monument, forming part of the same architectural complex as Maritime Museum, which attracts thousands of visitors.
Euroart'2000 will consist of 72 stands, which is an appropriate number for the public to be able to walk through all of them
and for the spectator to retain the exhibited works of art in his or her memory.
