For three days and nights an impressive mix of leading figures in the art world, young and international galleries.

Berlin gives the start of the art year 2007 a special emphasis. You are invited to join a
unique tour of Berlin‘s art scene at the Gallery Weekend in Berlin from 27th to 30th April
2007. At this Weekend you can experience exhibition openings at twenty - nine Berlin galleries.
For three days and nights you will have the opportunity of discovering and revisiting an
impressive mix of young galleries and artists as well as international galleries and leading
figures in the art world.
Berlin has unique artistic potential. Berlin is, thanks to its vibrant artistic community and
gallery scene, one of the most interesting artistic metropoli in the world – from classic
modernism into the 21st century, through all decades and transcending all art forms and
boundaries. The potential of this city brought the galleries in Berlin to the conclusion in May
2005 that the attention received should be highlighted once a year. The Gallery Weekend
Berlin is now in its third year and has attracted more and more exciting artists and galleries
to Berlin in recent years. This in turn has made the programme of the Gallery Weekend Berlin
more diverse and exciting.
Experience Berlin’s vibrant gallery scene at first hand. New exhibitions will simultaneously
open on Friday 27th April at 6.00 pm in all galleries. Those who arrive too late, or who join
the Berlin nightlife too early, can visit all exhibitions independently or as part of a guided
tour on Saturday 28th April and Sunday 29th April from 11.00 am to 6.00 pm. And anybody
who fancies a leisurely stroll round the galleries following a strenuous weekend will have
ample opportunity to do so on Monday.
