One Ear society, Coconut Grove
Artists reclaim Coconut Grove. With their third annual Coconut Grove Studio Tour, the artists of the One Ear Society at the Shops of Mayfair reclaim the Grove's historical legacy as a haven for artists of all types. The Tour provides the public with a window into the private homes and studios of the artists who livein Coconut Grove, an area that was once renown for its bohemian enclave. This year, the Tour coincides with Coconut Grove Art Week, a week-long series of art related events that culminates with the one-day Studio Tour.
Artists reclaim Coconut Grove
With their third annual Coconut Grove Studio Tour on Sunday, November 4th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the artists of the One Ear Society
at the Shops of Mayfair reclaim the Grove's historical legacy
as a haven for artists of all types.
The Tour provides the public with a window into the private homes and studios of the artists who live in Coconut Grove, an area that was
once renown for its bohemian enclave.
This year, the Tour
coincides with COCONUT GROVE ART WEEK, October 28th
November 4, 2001, a week-long series of art related events that culminates with the one-day Studio Tour.
See participating artists at
work in their studios as you ride the OES trolley to each location.
Enjoy the music of Washington, D.C. jazz musician Corey Whitehead
and OES troubadour, Grant Livingston.
Artists interested in applying to showcase their studios do not have to be members of the One Ear Society, however, an application must
be sent asap.
All participating artists will be featured on the OES web site.

Applications may be picked up at the OES Gallery at the Shops of Mayfair, across from Borders, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., 7 days a
week.
The One Ear Society is a not-for-profit organization of approximately 150 artists from the Miami area.
The group has been active for three years, holding professionally juried monthly art exhibits in their gallery at the Shops of Mayfair for
the past 2 years.
Coconut Grove Art Week will also be supported by the Shops of Mayfair, local hotels such as the Mayfair, Mutiny, Grand Bay, and the
Ritz Carlton, the Greater Miami Convention and Visitor's Bureau,
among other organizations.
