Art in the Shadow of War. Critical works that respond directly to political and/or media representations of war and personal experiences of military conflict. An exhibition, a film/video program, a publication, an interactive website and a symposium.

This inter-disciplinary exhibition will explore contemporary art's relationship to war and its representations. International artists and arts collectives will present critical works that respond directly to political and/or media representations of war, and in some cases, their own personal experiences of military conflict.

Signals in the Dark will include an exhibition, a film/video program, a publication, an interactive website and a symposium.

Exhibiting artists include: Maja Bajevic, Dominique Blain, Bureau d'etudes, Paul Chan, Koken Ergun, Harun Farocki, Omer Fast, Kendell Geers, Johan Grimonprez, Jamelie Hassan, Kristan Horton, Abdel-Karim Khalil, Annie MacDonell, Anri Sala, Sonja Savic, Sean Snyder, Ron Terada
