An exhibition, curated by Ami Barak, that looks at ways in which today's artists are renewing the heritage of the 20th century. It offers a contextual reading of contemporary works made by emerging French and international figures. The title is meant as a paraphrase of the Nietzschean concept of the Eternal Return, that cycle wherein what returns is not everything but a true selection. Although highly contemporary, these creations by the young generation give the impression that they have been here before.

FOREVER YOUNG is an exhibition that looks at ways in which today's artists are renewing the heritage of the 20th century. It offers a contextual reading of contemporary works made by emerging French and international figures.
FOREVER YOUNG is meant as a paraphrase of the Nietzschean concept of the Eternal Return, that cycle wherein what returns is not everything but a true selection. The German philosopher's concept expresses an attempt to avoid the idea that what has already been lived and experienced once becomes emptied of all real significance when it is repeated. Instead, according to this view of things, a process of reactivation witnesses the inexorable thrust of new life and new forms.
Although highly contemporary, these creations by the young generation give the impression that they have been here before, in a past life, while being inscribed in a work that is becoming. Thus past, present and future merge in the concept of eternal youth.
