Three artist walking and filming on the street this is the point of view of the exhibition. Strolling, walking and shooting during a day in three different city in the world Berlin – Marco Giani – New York – Holger Biermann – and Santiago de Chile – Elena Bellantoni. The three artist present a kind of visual map of each city, the action of walking become the eye, the lens throughout watching over the city.

Marco Giani presents a video he shoot in Berlin in 2009. The streets become the “real set” of the video and the music sound belongs to the street too. Giani give us a sensitive depiction of the city, like a voyeur he uses the camera to discover some intimate and personal dialogue between the street and the people, the city becomes like a human body.

Holger Biermann approaches the Big Apple, by presenting a series of 35mm photos he did in New York between 2001 and 2003. Biermann’s work investigate the city as a subject to work on continuously, with his mystery made of faces and unknown corner. He presents a series of 49 pictures most of them black and white - he works always with 35mm but in this case we have them in a digital support - with the sound of Carsten Nicolai.

Elena Bellantoni presents her last works she did in Santiago de Chile in April 2009, her video Tent_Action is the result of a street performance. Walking in the city and making an action are key aspects of her practice. She approaches the city to experiment with the idea of mobility, exploring and questioning the socio-political realities of an urban space and of its transit zones. Moreover, her artworks and interventions only exist in and through mobility; they circulate and move around, interacting with complex realities of an already unstable world. From such a practice, poetics of wandering, strolling and nomadism are established.
