Book launch of the publication, with a perfomance by the artist Armin Chodzinski. 'Parcitypate: Art and Urban Space' (Eds. Timon Beyes, Sophie-Therese Krempl, Amelie Deuflhard) assembles perspectives of internationally renowned urban researchers and social theorists as well as positions of artists, art theorists and curators regarding the question 'What are the effects of public art?'. Seperately conducted discourses are brought together in collaborative texts. Further the effects of artistic intervention into public space on culture, development, economy and politics will be discussed by means of contemporary artistic positions and recent socio-scientific findings. The book is designed by St. Gallen based artist Marcus Gossolt (Com&Com, Alltag Agentur) and addresses both people interested in art and in the city.
