"Urbliminal" è la seconda personale di Javier De Cea alla Galleria Artevistas. L'artista vuole mostrare come il suo lavoro di "riciclaggio" di informazioni urbane realizzato negli ultimi cinque anni ha influito nei suoi dipinti.

Javier De Cea cerca di catturare lo scorrere del tempo per le strade della città, osservando come si sovrappongono differenti tracce interagendo tra loro. Linee, stencil, spray, adesivi, codici e forme si fondono in un insieme frenetico che acquisisce, per coloro che vedono le sue opere, un significato nuovo e delirante.

Urbliminal è la prima esposizione “viva” che si presenta alla Galleria Artevistas: l'artista esibirá una varietá di opere, in quanto a formati e supporti che cambieranno durante le otto settimane dell’esposizione, in base ai suoi stati d'animo, fino ad arrivare ad un inaspettato e desiderato equilibrio.

Così, il rumore e il colorito caos dei primi giorni andranno diluendosi nel silenzio e nella pienezza delle tonalitá bianche alla fine dell'esposizione. Non sappiamo quando Javier de Cea decidirá di modificare, eliminare, aggiungere, deviare o interrompere la propria esposizione... ogni settimana, ogni giorno, ogni ora? Quello che sappiamo è che Urbliminal si presenta come una mostra vibrante e sorprendente in grado di stupire realmente lo spettatore.

"Urbliminal" is the second solo exhibition of Javier de Cea in Artevistas Gallery, Barcelona. Javier de Cea shows us how his work as "recycling" of urban information was the center of his new works.

Javier de Cea seeks to translate the effects of time on urban landscapes, looking at how to overlap the tracks of different intentions, interacting with each other. Lines, stencils, bombs, acrylic stickers, codes and forms are found in a frenetic set that acquires a new delirious meaning.

The exhibition "Urbliminal" is the first "living" exhibition presented in the Artevistas gallery : the artist presents an installation of a variety of works in terms of formats and media evolving over the past eight weeks during the exposure, depending on their moods to the point of balance. Thus, the colored noise and chaos of the early days will subtly transform into silence and fullness of white in the final moments of the show. Javier de Cea changes , deletes, adds elements a its exposure to divert sandstone moods ... every week, every day, every hour? Impossible to know.
What we can say is that "Urbliminal" is a truly surprising, and dynamic exhibition that the public will appreciate and rediscover new on each visit.
