Tuyap Fair, Istanbul
The 22nd International Istanbul Art Fair attracts 100 art galleries and institutions from Turkey and abroad as participants. This year, there are a number of important exhibitions throughout the 9-day event and honor awards.
Honor awards of the 22nd Istanbul Art Fair/ARTIST 2012 to be held by TÜYAP Fair and Exhibition Organization, Inc. at the Tüyap Fair and Convention Center, Büyükçekmece between November 17 and 25, 2012 were given.
Recipients of Honor Awards
Honor Awards of the Istanbul Art Fair are given every year to commemorate outstanding contributions to various branches of plastic arts. This year’s Artist of Honor Award will be given to Professor Rahmi Aksungur for his significant contribution to sculpture in Turkey, while the Critic of Honor Award will be given to Associate Professor Zeynep Yasa Yaman, the Benefactor of Art Award to the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Graphic Design Department for their organization of Grafist – Istanbul International Graphic Design Days, and the Collector of Honor Award to Lucien Arkas – Arkas Art Center.
This year, the Art Fair will be home to a number of important exhibitions throughout the 9-day event.
Celebrating its 22nd year, the Istanbul Art Fair attracts 100 art galleries and institutions from Turkey and abroad as participants. The 22nd International Istanbul Art Fair will be held concurrently with the 31st Istanbul Book Fair organized by TÜYAP Fair and Exhibition Organization, Inc. in association with the Turkish Publishers Association.
