Continuing the exploration of boundaries through participatory projects, the curatorial duo B+B (Sarah Carrington and Sophie Hope) have taken this idea as a starting point from which to examine approaches to migration in recent art practice. Issues of asylum and immigration gain widespread media attention, however there are few opportunities for constructive dialogue on prejudices and preconceived notions of “othernessâ€. For Trading Places B+B have assembled a truly diverse range of practitioners and artists groups from across Europe whose work deals with these important issues. Central to Trading Places will be a lively public programme at the gallery that includes, workshops, screenings, presentations and discussions.
