Now in its 12th year, the Editions and Artists' Book Fair has grown in size and stature to become the premier showcase for contemporary publishers and dealers presenting prints, multiples, and artists' books. Founded in 1998 by Susan Inglett of I.C. Editions and Brooke Alexander, the fair will take place at X Initiative Space in Chelsea, former Dia Foundation. The venue will generously accommodate over 60 exhibitors and works by artists from cities including New York, Los Angeles, Johannesburg, Amsterdam, London, and Paris; with additional site-specific projects, exhibitions, artists, performances and weekend events. The E/AB Opening Night Preview takes place on Thursday, November 5, 2009 from 6 to 9pm. Proceeds will support P. S.1 Contemporary Art Center's exhibitions and programs. The evening's festivities will feature a special DJ set by Sahra Motalebi and music by AJ Slim This year's E/AB Benefit Host Committee brings together a wide variety of artists and patrons: Sarah Basile, Dana Farouki and Mazen Makarem, Mark Swanson, Rashid Johnson, Franny Zorn, Vanessa Packer, Jessie Cohan, Brian Gibson, Ana Rogers, Kalup Linzy, Carlyle Stewart, Ken Kuchin, Randall Gianopulos, Heather Rowe, Zak Kitnik, Emily Glasser and Bill Sussman.
