The Armory Show

Pier 94 - Pier 92, New York

The Armory Show is America's leading fine art fair devoted to the most important art of the 20th and 21st centuries. In its eleven years, the fair has become an international institution. Every March, artists, galleries, collectors, critics and curators from all over the world make New York their destination during Armory Arts Week. The twelfth edition marks another milestone for the fair with the introduction of Armory Focus, a new section that will feature an important art community every year and is premiering with Berlin.

The Armory Show is proud to announce its 2010 exhibitors. The twelfth edition marks another milestone for the fair with the introduction of Armory Focus, a new section that will feature an important art community every year and is premiering with Berlin. This year The Armory Show features 267 galleries from 31 countries.

Armory Focus:Berlin includes 21 of the German capital's leading emerging and established galleries. "Our goal is to cross-pollinate art communities," says Executive Director Katelijne De Backer. "We want our Berlin dealers to benefit from the vitality of Armory Arts Week and for New York City to benefit from Berlin's creativity."

Among the new exhibitors next year are a notable selection of galleries from the Lower East Side, including Lisa Cooley Fine Art, Eleven Rivington, Laurel Gitlen (Small A Projects), Simon Preston Gallery, Rental and Rachel Uffner Gallery.

Meanwhile, the major galleries are returning, including 303 Gallery, Galleria Massimo De Carlo, Deitch Projects, Hauser & Wirth, Andrew Kreps Gallery, Yvon Lambert, Lisson Gallery, Marlborough Gallery, Victoria Miro, Edward Tyler Nahem Fine Art, Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac, Galerie Daniel Templon, Galerie Thomas, White Cube, Zeno X Gallery and David Zwirner.

"Our mission is to offer collectors the best art from 1900 to today," says Vice President Paul Morris. "We introduced The Armory Show - Modern last year to give the fair a broader historical span, and this year, with Armory Focus, we expand on our original mandate of providing a rich platform for primary market gallerists."
