dis-chorus
il coro dei disturbi

description: a series of choral pieces exploring the potential of communication disorders (apraxia, dyspraxia, dysprosody, aphasia, stuttering, verbal dyslexia, echolalia) and of different sound array variations in space (including sound sources in motion). The choral scores explore the relationship between verbal and vocal communication, thought and expression, individual narrative and collective context. The procedure often involves finding a chorus of local volunteers (not necessarily trained singers or musicians) and working together with them to develop a site-specific performance. Performances usually (but not always) involve live electronic processing of the choir.
