Art in the districts
Different Venues, Middelburg
The project involves the creation of 6 artworks in collaboration with district residents. The inhabitants had the opportunity to express their wishes and then to choose among a number of proposals by artists. The 9th, 16th and 23rd of April, the Middelburg city councilor for culture, Ed de Graaf, unveils 3 works by Edwin Zwakman, Atelier Van Lieshout, Hendrik-Jan Hunneman. Lorenzo Benedetti, director SBKM-De Vleeshal, gives a speech.
The 9th, 16th and 23rd of April, the Middelburg city councilor for culture, Ed de Graaf, will unveil three artworks in different parts of the city. Lorenzo Benedetti, director SBKM-De Vleeshal, will give a speech.
On behalf of the city of Middelburg, the Foundation SBKM-De Vleeshal is coordinating the initiative Kunst in de wijken, Art in the Districts, which involves the creation of six artworks in collaboration with district residents. The inhabitants of each district had the opportunity to express their wishes and then to choose among a number of proposals by artists.
The Stichting Beeldende Kunst Middelburg is managing these projects in partnership with the Rotterdam organization Mothership
