On behalf of the city of Middelburg, the Foundation SBKM-De Vleeshal is coordinating the initiative Kunst in de wijken, Art in the Districts, which involves the creation of six artworks in collaboration with district residents. The inhabitants of each district had the opportunity to express their wishes and then to choose among a number of proposals by artists.
The Stichting Beeldende Kunst Middelburg is managing these projects in partnership with the Rotterdam organization Mothership
