A presentation of the youngest generation of artists from Czech Republic, curated by Edith Jerabkova. By using scientific methods, and methods on the borderline of science, the artists are trying to understand and describe the world around them.

The part of the project Czech Dream - Lucid Dream which takes place in Lodz - exhibition Ears Like Loops in ZONA Sztuki Aktualnej is a presentation of the youngest generation of artists from Czech Republic. Despite young age, the artists have already many achievements (Kateřiny Šeda’s solo exhibition is currently being prepared at the Tate Modern in London) and have aready co-operated with renowned art galleries in Europe.
The curator of exhibition, Edith Jeřabkova chose works for the exhibitions by following the principle of „mathematical and logical appearances in the practise of contemporary Czech artists”. By using scientific methods, and methods on the borderline of science, the artists are trying to understand and describe the world around them. By transforming the language of mathematics and logic into their own language, they try to „make the world around us more comprehensible and add a utopian and romantic twist to its rational base at the same time. ”
The exhibition takes place within the project "Czech Dream - Lucid Dream" organized by the Foundation Dominik Art Projects, curated and coordinated by Adam K. Dominik.
A unique project which presents the Czech scene, from classical to the youngest generation of artists. To explain the complexity of contemporary art and multiplicity of artistic expression of Czech artists, the project consists of exhibitions, presentations of video art, panel discussions, workshops with students.
"Czech Dream - Lucid Dream" is realized in cooperation with such institutions as legendary Foksal Gallery, Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, ZONA Sztuki Aktualnej in Lodz and Czech Center in Warsaw.
