IRIS Master's diplomas Hochschule Bern. The exhibition enters into a relationship with concerts 'a suivre' and hybrid events, in which new forms of presentation will be explored. Finally, some works that resulted from the cooperation with the Master of Fine Arts in Basel will be on exhibition.
The first Master’s diplomas in Contemporary Arts Practice from HKB (Bernese Academy of the Arts)
Since autumn 2008, Switzerland’s art schools have been offering Master’s programmes in Fine Arts. In this context, Bern’s HKB, the Academy of the Arts, has chosen a special approach unique in all of Europe: its Master of Arts in Contemporary Arts Practice reflects the school’s inter- and transdisciplinary profile and is based on a study plan that combines Fine Arts with Music and Media Art. Starting in 2010, literary studies in French and German will complement the degree course. In any case, this first diploma exhibition at Kunsthalle Bern promises to be an experiment at and with the borders of art: apart from paintings and photographs, sound installations will also be on display.
The exhibition enters into a relationship with concerts “à suivre” and hybrid events, in which new forms of presentation will be explored. Finally, some works that resulted from the cooperation with the Master of Fine Arts in Basel will be on exhibition.
