Artpix ­ a CD-ROM journal of contemporary art ­ is pleased to announce the publication of ARTPIX 2, featuring two group exhibitions curated by Dave Hickey and David Pagel.

Ultralounge: The Return of Social Space (with Cocktails) is curated by Las Vegas-based art and culture critic Dave Hickey and consists of new works by eleven artists from Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The artists are: Phil Argent, Aaron Baker, Tim Bavington, Jane Callister, Cynthia Chan, Jack Hallberg, Wayne Littlejohn, Christine Siemens, Jennifer Steinkamp, Mary Warner and Yek. The CD-ROM includes an invocation by the Rev. Ethan Acres, blessing all of the artists at DiverseWorks, Houston.

The exhibition Colorfields: Now and Then is curated by Los Angeles-based art historian and critic David Pagel and contrasts the work of seven young artists with the work of an earlier group of "color- field" painters. Artists include Polly Apfelbaum, Linda Besemer, Ingrid Calame, Penelope Krebs, Laura Owens, Monique Prieto and Pae White.

Artpix - a CD-ROM journal of contemporary art - is a not-for-profit publication supported in part by a grant from Prop Foundation, Inc., as well as by private donations and public contributions. ARTPIX is published twice yearly, and issues number one and two are available now.
