Salvini's work reflects on the modalities and consequences of a progressive attitude to censorship and intimidation. Macco's performance action is born after an observation on the image of women in contemporary society.
Manuela Macco: "Dress" performance
The action is born after an observation on the image of women in contemporary society. It is an image that, when analyzed, reveals a clear regression in relation to achievements that, until recently, seemed consolidated. Dress reflect about the weight that female models in the media have on the structuring of identity and opinions.
Manuela Macco (Biella 1970) lives and works in Turin. In 1996 she graduates in literature at the University of Turin. With the intention of expanding the themes tied to the role of the body and action in the context of visual art, she intensively investigates movement and body by dedicating herself to the exploration and study of different bodily disciplines and techniques. Her work includes installations, videos and performances.
Guido Salvini: "Strength test" video-performance
The work reflects on the modalities and consequences of a progressive attitude to censorship and intimidation exercised by a power in respect of freedom of expression.
Guido Salvini (Torino 1962), lives and works in Turin. After his art studies he works with photography. After a long experience as still photographer in theater and cinema he start to work as video artist. Today he expresses through video, installation, performance and his image research.
