Eight outstanding young contemporary artists and eight fashion designers have been selected as partners to design 24 pieces of fur style fashion. For the first time, the fashion designers and the contemporary artists make an in-depth crossover cooperation, where they share the philosophy behind art and design, thus get inspiration to design the fashion cloths.
Between fashion and art there is always ambiguity and a lot of passion because they both learn from each other with inspiration and they show that the world is filled with temptations and thoughts. On November 11, 2010, the exhibition "Beyond Fashion" will be held at Beyond Art Space 798, featuring the crossover between fashion and art.
Eight outstanding young contemporary artists and eight fashion designers have been selected as partners to design 24 pieces of fur style fashion. For the first time, the fashion designers and the contemporary artists make an in-depth crossover cooperation, where they share the philosophy behind art and design, thus get inspiration to design the fashion cloths. The works of the artists and the fashion designers are full of thoughts and creativity, and this is where art and fashion share the results of fusion and recreation. The partnership between both makes the "Beyond fashion" which will be presented in this exhibition. During the opening day at Beyond Art Space, artists and designers will assist to a collection release. The works of art and a fashion show will be presented, which will be a brand new visual experience.
The exhibition is sponsored by Kopenhagen Fur, the largest fur skin auction house in the world. Kopenhagen Fur is dedicated to supporting designers and artists to create with fur, through its design center Kopenhagen Studio. Kopenhagen Fur provides top-quality fur materials and techniques to this crossover cooperation. Knowledge sharing is at the heart of Kopenhagen Fur’s success, which has given birth to a series of partnerships with designers and artists, whereby the versatility and functionality of fur is fully used.
