Ana Vieira
Sheltering Walls
Curator Paulo Pires do Vale
The title of this exhibition - Shelter Walls - derives, at first glance, from the reference to a childhood memory of the artist who recalls her parents’ farm near Ponta Delgada, when she walked daily to the shelter walls at the end of the estate and open all doors, one after the other, until the last one that opened onto the sea. However, this title also allows to develop approaches from different points of view to Ana Vieira’s work: Wall-House; Wall-Door; Wall-Mirror; Wall-Theatre; Wall-Art.

Common House. Works from the CAM Collection
Curator Leonor Nazaré
Thirty-one artists from the CAM collection set out a pathway through works evoking fundamental archetypes bound up with the home, its structure, symbolism, social interaction and representation. At home, we live, on the scale of a tiny world, the various dimensions with which life welcomes and reaches out to us.
