Dali experimented in different ways with the difficult relationship between high and low culture. And he continued to do so, even after the discourse in the art world became sharper in the tone after World War Two. For long time attention for Dali has been mainly focused on his work as a painter and writer, but his lifelong relationship to mass culture make a statement about Dali's importance, and as a predecessor to Warhol's work.

Laleh June Galerie is very pleased to announce Rose Méditative which takes its theme and title from the Salvador Dali's Rose Méditative, 1958. The group exhibition across different media brings together ten artists. A group of gallery artists were selected. Complex egocentrism, fascinations with film, fashion, photography, design and advertising were heart of this selection. Four artists join the gallery for the first time. Drawings by

Behrouz Rae (1979, Iran) he now lives and works in Los Angeles. Since 2000s Rae has exhibited internationally. A serie of his drawings among others is included in very prestigious Ebrahim Melamed collection and the Honart Museum, Tehran. This will be Behrouz Rae's fifth exhibition with the gallery. Behrouz Rae is represented by Laleh June Galerie.

Cris Faria (1975, Brazil) he lives and works in Zurich. This will be Faria's fourth exhibition with the gallery after his solo exhibition and the group exhibition “Be Blue” in 2010. Cris Faria will have other forthcoming projects with the Laleh June Galerie.

Crystel Ceresa (1979, Swiss) she lives and works in Geneva. This will be Crystel Ceresa's sixth exhibition with the gallery. Ceresa in 2010 has held two very successful international solo exhibitions in Denmark and The Netherlands. Crystel Ceresa is represented by Laleh June Galerie for Switzerland.

Christian Robert-Tissot (1960, Swiss) he lives and works in Geneva. Robert-Tissot joins the gallery for the first time. His work among others is included in very prestigious Swiss museum collections: Mamco, Geneva, Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst, Zurich and Musée des beaux-arts de La Chaux-de-Fonds, Neuchâtel.

Marc Rembold (1963, Swiss) he now lives and works in Basel. This will be Rembold's eighth exhibition with the gallery. Since 2000's Marc Rembold has exhibited internationally US, Canada, UAE, Russia and Asia. His work is included in very prestigious swiss and international private collections. ''Peace'', 2011 from Marc Rembold 's ''Glamour” serie in gold dust and artist's spectral colours, will be on view. Marc Rembold is represented by Laleh June Galerie.

Anoush Abrar (1976, Iran) he lives and works in London and Aimée Hoving (1978, The Netherlands) she lives and works in Geneva. This will be their fourth exhibition with the gallery. Their collaboration together since 2004 after ECAL, attracted the prestigious attention of the international fashion editorial such as Vogue Paris, Vogue Japan, W, among others. Anoush and Aimée will have forthcoming projects with the Laleh June Galerie.

Postcards from Vegas, 2011 is the new serie by the London based artists Rob and Nick Carter (1969 and 1970, UK). The postcards from artists's postcards collection (60s-70s) are mounted with neon signs from Las Vegas. Rob and Nick Carter join the gallery for the first time, their work is included in the prestigious David Roberts Art Foundation, Sir Elton John, David and Victoria Beckham, Jude Law, among others. ''We’ve always been fascinated by the gaudy lurid neon signs of Las Vegas and loved the idea of juxtaposing these with the ‘readymade’ postcards''. Rob and Nick Carter

Marc Rembold for the first time will present worldwide (point of view of material and technical), a very new neon 2011, glittering in all colours from his ''Love'' series. Rembold since early 2000s has exhibited Swiss and internationally in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Paris, Milan, Moscow, Dubai, Seoul, Vancouver, Toronto, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Geneva, Zurich and Gstaad.

Ceramic sculpture by

Bouke de Vries (1960, The Netherlands), he lives and works in London. In 2009 and 2010 he has exhibited in London, Milan, Kyoto, Seoul, Turin and Amsterdam. Bouke de Vries studied Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design London and conservation and restoration of ceramics, West Dean College, West Sussex. He designed hats for John Galliano, worked at Stephen Jones millinery, he then worked as self-employed conservator/restorer, on a wide variety of objects from pre-historic to the works of Grayson Perry, for an international clientele, antique and auction houses, museums, and the National Trust. He also has lectured, tutored, written articles for professional journals, team member of the Conservations Awards winning project of ceramic glazes. His work is included in MIMA, Zabludowicz collection among others. This will be the first Bouke de Vries exhibition with Laleh June Galerie in Switzerland before other forthcoming projects with the gallery.

The Opening Reception will be on Friday, February 18, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m.
