On April 2, 2011 the Solo Exhibition by the young artist Li Wei will be held at Beyond Art Space. This exhibition is Li Wei’s pursuit after her solo exhibition in 2009, and for the past two years she has produced creative works.
In Li Wei's "Ink series", her works are influenced by life and landscapes from which the abstract images with ink dots give two different viewing experiences: abstraction and concretion. Li Wei's inkblot creations take a lot of time. On her own, the artist included religious characteristics. Li Wei's focus is usually on the daily landscape, the bamboo, shade and the corner of a building. In the busy bustling cities, these elements were ignored by our casual beauty. Through the artist's aesthetic sense of touch, sensibility and delicacy, there is an enjoyment of the spirit, discovery and awakening.
In Li Wei's works, the colors and vague landscapes are created by the artist in order to go outside of the fantasy from the heart.
