SCOOTER III brings the third year of the Biennial of Young Art – a representative exhibition of upcoming generation of artists up to the age of 35 on both the Czech and Slovak artistic scene who bring special consideration on present world and on contemporary picture (regardless media selection: painting, photography, print, an object, video, etc). The main objective of the organizers is to create a periodical platform for presentation of contemporary artistic language and confrontation of individual approaches. At the same time we want to encourage current creation of the youth and to bring genre correctness during selection of male/female authors.
The subtitle of the exhibition is 'an old good GloBalkans' referring to the clash and overlapping of globalization processes (media mass culture, advertisement, branding, illusions of future) and balkanization (disintegration, hybridism, bastardization chaos, problem minorities, disillusionment) in our space and their penetration into the intimacy of home and life of an individual (living areas, architecture, TV-culture of the living room, everyday situations).
The event is held in two exhibition rooms of the Ján Koniarek Gallery in Trnava- in the Koppel villa ( the first floor) and a klUb3 ( the ground floor). Within the Biennial the organizers will award their own CYPRIAN award for a selected male/female author (according to a famous painter Cyprián Majerník)
