Cynthia Broan is pleased to announce "Circumnavigating a Sea of Shit,"
opening Thursday, Nov. 21.
A show focusing on a group of painters dealing with expressionism, while
thanking their lovely stars that they are no longer in that bucket of a
decade, the 80s. Refusing to discount the ideas of that era en masse they
recontextualize the concept known as 'expressionism'. Raising the issue of
when, how and why this sign appears in culture and how it can be interpreted
in this age after postmodernism.
