ACTS, the Festival for Performative Art takes its point of departure in international tendencies in the upcoming as well as the established sound and performance art scene offering concerts, performances, installations, sound walks and family workshop.
As a new initiative The Museum of Contemporary Art, Denmark, presents a new annual event named ACTS – Festival for Performative Art. This year the festival will take place the weekend of 28–29 May in and around the museum as well as in the citycenter of Roskilde. ACTS takes its point of departure in international tendencies in the upcoming as well as the established sound and performance art scene offering concerts, performances, installations, sound walks and family workshop.
ACTS – Festival for Performative Art presents ephemeral art forms taking place "here and now," and which in a humorous, critical or sensual way relates to the world, we live in. The art works will titillate the audience's curiosity, activate both visual, auditory and taste senses, and shake firmly held notions about life and art. With the festival's focus on the performative art The Museum of Contemporary Art put presence, interaction and sensory perception at the very centre of a new festival that both engages and challenges its audience.
