Lo spazio Wunderkammern apre alla mostra collettiva Lumen Urban Show e premia con il WK Art Distinction l'artista più interessante dell'evento di urban art.

Dal 16 Giugno al 10 Settembre lo spazio espositivo Wunderkammern ospiterà la collettiva Lumen Urban Show, con l'obiettivo di portare in città una iniziativa che coinvolgerà i più talentuosi urban artists della scena nazionale, attraverso le associazioni Mac Contemporaneo di Ancona, Infart Collective di Bassano del Grappa, Style Orange e il Cerchio e le Gocce di Torino, Walls di Roma, Largo Baracche di Napoli.

Lumen è un evento nato nel 2010 a Salerno e che quest'anno si è svolto dal 13– 29 maggio 2011 presso il Parco dell’Irno, ex area Salid. Ad ogni edizione, gli artisti invitati a partecipare sono chiamati a confrontarsi con un formato creativo ed espositivo diverso da quello con cui sono abituati a lavorare e ad esprimersi di solito, che si sviluppa attorno ad un concept tra arte e territorio. Per LUMEN edizione 2011, 21 urban artist segnalati dalle associazioni di tutta italia, hanno aderito all'iniziativa realizzando dei bozzetti per la produzione di una prova d'artista su base inedita, la maiolica, per un formato di cm.50x50.

"WK Art Distinction" è un riconoscimento che Wunderkammern assegna ai giovani artisti più promettenti, e nasce con l'intento di valorizzare i percorsi nati "al di fuori" dei circuiti accademici. Il premio 2011 sarà assegnato il 10 settembre, durante il finissage. Il lavoro di un artista verrà premiato con il WK Art Distinction: sarà presentata una stampa FineArt dell'opera vincitrice, tiratura limitata a 30 copie firmate e numerate dall’artista.

Lumen Urban Show

Wunderkammern presents the group exhibition Lumen Urban Show, and the WK Art Distinction prize which will be awarded to the most talented urban artist taking part in the event.

From June 16th to September 10th, the Wunderkammern gallery will host the group show Lumen Urban Show bringing together the most talented urban artists from the national scene to Rome with the assistance of the following associations: Mac Contemporanee di Ancona, Infart Collective di Bassano del Grappa, Style Orange and il Cerchio and le Gocce di Torino, Walls di Roma, Largo Baracche di Napoli.

Lumen is an event that started in Salerno in 2010 and that this year took place from May 13th to May 29th 2011 at Parco dell'Irno, ex area Salid. During each edition artists are asked to use a creative format different from their usual form of expression to develop an all-around concept connecting art and the territory. For the 2011 edition of Lumen, twenty-one artists were chosen by the associations to take part and produce a sketch that was then used to make 21 original artist proofs on majolica with a 50x50 cm format.

"WK Art Distinction" is an award that Wunderkammern grants to the most promising young artists. It was created to increase the value of those art development paths established outside of the academic circuit. The 2011 award will be presented on September 10th during the finissage of the show. One artist of the Lumen group show will be awarded the WK Art Distiction: the winning artwork will be reproduced with 30 limited edition Fine Art prints signed and numbered by the artist.
