Dvir Gallery is happy to invite you to the opening of the exhibition: "Kitbag questions, Installation, (work from archive 2006-2011)" by Paulien Oltheten
Paulien Oltheten's work is based on prolonged observation of the public sphere and the documentation of fleeting human situations. The focus on brief and seemingly unimportant moments expresses an interest in people’s interaction both with their environment and with each other.
Oltheten’s photographs are sensitive to the random gestures of by-passers and to the details of their activity. Her work develops as a continuing dialogue probing the deeper layers of human behavior and channels a personal reality to explore the relationship between the private and the public in general. The individual's interaction with her surroundings and her ability to share the experience with others, if only briefly, expresses a delicate, fleeting quality connecting people all over the world.
