Ögüt’s work looks like official signs that will be placed in several outdoor locations around Tirana. The signs say "Warning, this area is under 23 hour video and audio surveillance." in Albanian. Ahmet Ögüt is a conceptual artist from Turkey based in Amsterdam. His work encompasses various media – installation, video, drawing and text – and examines the patterns of social and public movement through urban spaces.
For the 53rd Venice Biennale, Ögüt’s work Exploded City used a mock-architectural model of a fictional city to explore contemporary notions of collective space and environment.
