With their works artists Agnieszka Brzezanska, Giulio Frigo, Eva Koatatkova, and Aida Ruilova roam through an open-ended, constantly changing, and mutable field of possibilities. With their works artists Agnieszka Brzeżańska, Giulio Frigo, Eva Koťátková, and Aïda Ruilova roam through an open-ended, constantly changing, and mutable field of possibilities. The most important thing they have in common is that they are part of a generation that has experienced upheaval in social and political systems. Their works develop along the lines of their personal lives and local issues, and are therefore characteristic of a portion of contemporary art production. They move forward as well as backward, toward the future as well as the past, opening up the foundations and abysses of the human psyche, and coupling the intellectual and spiritual interior with the experience of an accessible exterior. They succeed in creating a “face of the times,” and, by using their personal iconographies, hit upon persuasive statements about the world.
KAI 10 is a private, non-commercial institution for the promotion of contemporary art. Founded by the non-profit Arthena Foundation, KAI 10 will produce three to four exhibitions annually, offering international artists a platform for the presentation and discussion of their works.
