Villa, How to use
The works of the Portuguese artist Leonor Antunes are characterized by multifaceted references to architecture and modern design.
Her sculptures are based on abstractions of architectural motives and fragments as well as on her individual interest in metric systems used for the survey of space. Antunes usually presents her objects in correspondence with the respective exhibition space and in direct relation to the specific floor, walls and ceiling.
So ultimately, her works redefine the relation between object and viewer because the audience encounters the art on a course between abstract interior and autonomic art pieces. In cooperation with the Fundação Serralves, Porto the Kunstverein will publish a catalogue along with the exhibition.
