Laura Prikule / Avi Feldman

Laura Prikule Latvian artist has spent 2 months in Budapest within the residency program of Totaldobze, Riga and the Studio of Young Artists' Association. She speak about her previous works, the project she has been working on during her stay in Budapest, and about the structure of contemporary art institutions in Riga. Berlin based and Israeli raised curator Avi Feldman (born 1976 in Montreal, Canada) holds a lecture, posing the concepts of 'testimony' and 'witnessing'. In an open discussion Moderation: Katja Melzer), works of Israeli artists being introduced, who address private as well as global historical events ('stories'), ostensibly stamped by an imprint of 'truth' even if they do not purport to document reality.
