Works of artists from different countries of the South-East Europe who currently live and work in Berlin
The exhibition, organized by Goethe Institut Thessaloniki, continues its journey to Bucharest and Sarajevo. Berliner Zimmer is a show presenting works of artists from different countries of the South-East Europe, who currently live and work in Berlin. The selected works reflect the artists' dialogue with their old and new 'home' and the tension between present and past. Artists: Silva Agostini (Albania), Maja Bajevic (Bosnia Erzegovina), Haris Epaminonda (Cipro), Sejla Kameric (Bosnia-Erzegovina), Kristina Leko (Croazia), Mihaltianu Dan (Romania), Tanja Ostojic (Serbia), David Rych (Austria), Yorgos Sapountzis (Grecia), Evanthia Tsantila (Grecia), Nasan Tur (Turchia), Mariana Vassileva (Bulgaria). Curated by Birgit Hoffmeister. This exhibition has been agreed with the Goethe-Institut in early summer, when it still seemed to be solved for further normal operation of the National Gallery and the staff will not be forced to close in protest the gallery for visitors. Opening 24th november 2011 h 19.30.
