Criminal walks the line between the permissible and the unacceptable, the artistic group Hanging Together navigate their way through this challenging terrain for a new site-specific installation.
The Changing Room presents a group exhibition celebrating the 15th anniversary of the gallery.
Walking the line between the permissible and the unacceptable, artist's group Hanging Together navigate their way through this challenging terrain for a new installation made for The Changing Room, Stirling.
Forgery, plagiarism, bad taste, theft, obscenity - artists have done them all. In CRIMINAL, Hanging Together question our sense of what might or might not be appropriate either because of the materials that are used; the subject matter addressed or the style employed.
Returning to the scene of a previous crime (Hanging Togethers first project in 1994 was a response to the Tolbooth as it was then, essentially a near derelict building, within its historical context), the group will present works that answer to the charge of art crime.
The exhibition will include painting, sculpture, installation, printmaking, and photography.
Artist: Hanging Together are Nicola Carberry, Paul Eames, Carolyn Mason, Peter Russell, Val Shatwell and Karen Strang
