Variations on Jorge Luis Borges' short story 'Tlon, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius'. Group exhibition
Organized by the StartE student association (master 2 Sciences et Techniques de l'Exposition Paris I - Pantheon Sorbonne), the exposition presents variations on Jorge Luis Borges' short story 'Tlon, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius' about the discovery of Tlon, a mysterious world that is both real and nonexistent. It explores Borgesian themes through works that call their own fictionality into question and deconstruct our relationship to a reality taken to be objective. Works by the artists: Dove Allouche, Charles Avery, Cecile Beau, Isabelle Cornaro, Philip-Lorca diCorcia, Loris Greaud, Graham Gussin, Sarah Anne Johnson, Emmanuelle Laine', and Bettina Samson. In partnership with the Canadian Cultural Centre.
