Il Vitra Design Museum celebra il XX anniversario della storica collezione di sedie in miniatura ormai icone della produzione dell'azienda. Parallelamente, un simposio e' ospitato il 18 aprile alla Triennale.
Twentieth Anniversary of the Miniatures Collection
With the exhibition “Dimensions of Design”, the Vitra Design Museum celebrates the twentieth anniversary of the Miniatures Collection. Since its launch in 1992, the miniatures of the Vitra Design Museum have become a widely famous museum product – and a prime example of ways in which thematically ambitious and culturally relevant products can be developed to augment the finances of a museum. During this period, the Vitra Design Museum has developed miniature models of over 100 classic furniture designs, which are meticulously crafted as exact replicas of the originals. Because of their superior quality, the miniatures are collected and studied by design connoisseurs and enthusiasts around the world. The exhibition “Dimensions of Design” at the HUGO BOSS flagship store provides an overview of the most important pieces in the Miniatures Collection of the Vitra Design Museum, while also offering insights into design history. At the same time, the objects are staged in a way that pays homage to an extraordinary museum product.
