A noncommercial platform to encourage, present and promote the art production of young authors up to 35 years old. the event is settled to present a dynamic version of creative searches and trends in the younger generation of art, to promote their work and provide a stage for the realization of their artistic provocations.
Contempo - contemporary art festival is a noncommercial platform to encourage, promotе and present the production of young authors up to 35 years old. the event is settled to present a dynamic version of creative searches and trends in the younger generation of art, to promote their work and provide a stage for the realization of their artistic provocations. in contempo except for traditional art spaces are absorbed unconventional spaces as well, being promoted to a new culture and aesthetics, close to the interests and attitudes of young people in urban environments. since its first edition in 2009 the festival was attended by nearly 12,000 people. in past editions were prеяехшеа more of 80 emerging artists from bulgaria, canada, germany, portugal, france, italy, belgium, russia, tuurkey, poland etc.
contempo was created following the idea of the artist raya georgieva (1978 -2009) and implemented by raya georgieva foundation with the partnership and support of many formal and informal organizations, the main of which are international association for cultural management "sea blue" , radio varna , graffit gallery, bulart gallery, yuka gallery, arhis gallery, harmony gallery, eva`s gallery, gallery ossem, tereza art gallery, temporary space, stalker studio, music café look, yo ho hostel, artin vision, horizont comlex, creative crew agency, sofia city art gallery, journalists and cultural activists. the panel "collecting” in contempo 2012 is realized with the partnership and support of the knoll gallery , vienna. contempo 2012 is curated by dora doncheva- bulart.
