Primae Noctis Art Gallery is pleased to present the Solo Show of the German artist Stefan Hirsig (Berlin, 1966).
The exhibition displays paintings and sculptures in which the artist experiments the use of color, light and form, constructing complex compositions in which the combination of various elements create unexpected effects, which displace the viewer and lead him to an intimate dialogue with the artwork.
At first the work of Stefan Hirsig can confuse, make us feel disoriented, in fact, it leaves the spectator in an endless series of possible interpretations: a constant flux of abstraction and reality can be found in every single element.
A participant observer is required, these artworks change constantly your perception: the poetry that underlies this work is based on "discover" and "cover", on "deploy" and "conceal" forms.
Stefan Hirsig’s language is a reworking of different stiles as the Op Art of the 60’s , the Purism, the Action Painting, the Constructivism and the Pop Art. In his work we can find reminiscences and smooth contaminations of these movements.
In the development of his complex compositions, Stefan Hirsig focused largely in technology, architecture, design and music areas. He, through his works, plays with our mental associations, with our points of view, producing a dynamics built through quotations of the past and present world.
The show "Stefan Hirsig" is the second night of this new exhibition experience, through which the spectator can, once again, talk to the art space, listen to the art’s silently whispers bursting in himself, and taste deeply this new aesthetic experience.
