Out and Look. Major retrospective exhibition featuring works by Danish photographerThis summer, Viggo Rivad will be celebra ing his 90th birthday with an extensive exhibition titled 'Out & Look' at Museet for Fotokunst. Throughout his career, Rivad has - somewhat misleadingly - been called a social realist. He is much more than that. Through his photographs and his journeys he has strived to get close to people. His pictures always contain the question : What does it mean to be a human being? What constitutes a life? What do people everywhere have in common? Rivad's lens captures stories about life and the conditions of life - abroad as well as in his home city of Copenhagen. Opening 17 May 2012 at 5p.m.
