Computers control the world! With them humans today have the power to make things happen in limitless ways at the touch of a button. They have become the providers of content; nutrients delivered in half an hour; an endless meal of facts and figures for the brain. Cows control the world! For the past century they have been chosen by humans as one of the major sources of nutrition; especially in the western world. Our diets have come to rely on beef in all its forms.
Computers control the world!
With them humans today have the power to make things happen in limitless ways at the touch of a button.
They have become the providers of content; nutrients delivered in half an hour; an endless meal of facts
and figures for the brain.
Cows control the world!
For the past century they have been chosen by humans as one of the major sources of nutrition;
especially in the western world. Our diets have come to rely on beef in all its forms.
Computers and Cows: the first is an artificial machine,built entirely by scientists and engineers that today
grazes in every pasture on the planet. The cow, as an animal, was not created by man, but was found and
domesticated to fulfill a need.The rest we know ...
These two worlds, the artificial and the animal that at first look so different from each other, on closer
inspection are not. At the least not in the way we are beginning, to use them .... What about the future?
The cow that provides content and delivers steak, medium rare. It is all possible.
My artwork explores the notion of how we extend ourselves and our relationship with the tactile world
through technological advancements. Computers and Internet are examples of the endless possibilities
before us.
